Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mely ("Mely", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Mely mobile application. Mely helps you track your own GLP-1 medication routine, nutrition, hydration, weight, and related notes. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Process

• Account identifiers: your Firebase Authentication user ID and email address.
• Health & tracking data you enter: medications, dose logs, injection sites, meals and protein, water, weight, appetite and side-effect check-ins, inventory, and notes.
• Optional progress photos: stored in private Supabase Storage and associated with your account.
• Apple Health data (optional): if you connect Apple Health, we read metrics such as weight, height, steps, and sleep to prefill and update your dashboard. This data is read on your device and is only used within the app.
• AI food & summary processing: when you use meal-photo analysis, text meal descriptions, or AI summaries, the relevant photo or text is sent to our AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) to return nutrition estimates or summaries. We save only the details you confirm. These outputs are informational and are not medical advice.
• Subscription events: purchase and entitlement status via RevenueCat and the App Store. We do not store your full payment card details; those are handled by Apple.
• Product analytics & attribution: usage and event data through PostHog (product analytics) and Meta and AppsFlyer (advertising attribution), which may use an advertising identifier (e.g., IDFA), subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice.
• Website analytics: if you visit melyglp1.com, Google Analytics may collect standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser info, and referral source so we can understand how the marketing site is used.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide medication and lifestyle tracking, sync your data across your devices, store your private files, manage subscription access, provide support, maintain reliability and security, and understand product usage so we can improve the app. AI-generated summaries, where available, are produced from the tracking context you provide and are for informational purposes only. They are not medical advice.

How Your Data Is Shared

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that operate the app and website on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication and database), Supabase (private photo storage), OpenAI and Anthropic (AI food and summary processing), RevenueCat and Apple (subscriptions), Google Analytics (marketing website analytics), and PostHog, Meta, and AppsFlyer (analytics and advertising attribution), and only as needed to provide those functions. We may also disclose information if required by law. We never use or share health data for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with the reputable providers listed above. Progress photos are kept in private storage that is not publicly accessible. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your Choices & Rights

• You can edit or delete individual entries at any time within the app.
• You can disconnect Apple Health at any time in your device Settings.
• You can request full account and data deletion (see below).

Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your account and associated data from within the app, or by emailing us at support@melyglp1.com. Deletion removes your app database records and associated private storage objects where technically feasible. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Children's Privacy

Mely is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
